This page is devoted to myself, James R. Lowe, and my currently living ancestors and descendants in the Lowe and Robson families.

I was born in Charleston, West Virginia, on February 19, 1940.  I am an only child, a graduate of Charleston High School and of Stetson University (DeLand, Florida) and Stetson College of Law.  This is a picture of me, apparently taken some years ago.  On January 26, 1964, I married the former Elizabeth Marshall Roche of Chevy Chase, Maryland.  She and I had one son, David Hollis Lowe, born October 16, 1964.

Since May 2, 1981, I have been married to the former Sharon K Wright.  We reside in Tallahassee, Florida, with "Mikey," the sweetest long-haired dachshund on Earth.

My mother was born on March 20, 1921.  She and my father were married on January 22, 1938 and were divorced in the Spring of 1951.  This picture of my parents was probably taken about 1938 or 1939, at a time when my mother and father were respectively 17 and 21 years of age.

Since February 8, 1964, my mother has been married to George D. Rooker.  This picture was probably taken about that time.  Following their retirement from Union Carbide Company, they moved to Florida from St. Albans, West Virginia.  They currently reside in the Brevard County community of Barefoot Bay.

My mother has one sister, Betty Anne, who was born October 8, 1922.  My aunt Betty married James A. Stogden on July 8, 1944.  They had two daughters, my first cousins, Anne Randall, born August 18, 1946, and Jane Whitney, born September 16, 1953.  This picture of my mother and her sister was probably taken around 1934.

My son David was born in St. Petersburg, Florida, on October 16, 1964.  His mom and dad moved him to Tallahassee the following January, where he has resided ever since.  A graduate of Florida A&M University, he also has a master's degree in Computer Science from Florida State University.  Of course, he is a good bit older now than it appears in the picture at left.

On October 1, 1994, he married Victoria Beardslee of Tallahassee.  Click on the image for the larger version which shows David's grandmother Eloise (Robson) Rooker, her husband George, and David's Aunt Betty and Uncle Jim Stogden.  On August 1, 1998, David and Vicky became the proud parents of a son.  They were divorced in the Fall of 2001.

My grandson Joshua was born August 1, 1998, in Tallahassee, Florida.  A remarkable 40 other babies were born in the local hospital on that same day.  By an equally remarkable coincidence, he was the sweetest and best looking of them all.  He is seen here, at age 13 minutes, with his father.

My granddaughter Ashley was born February 9, 1993, in Tallahassee, Florida.  She is seen here with her father David and half-brother Joshua, during a visit to my mother, March 30, 2002, in Barefoot Bay, Florida.
